Keegan's Grill and TaproomI found myself looking for another great dining experience in Phoenix. In the same shopping center where you can find Delux, there was a place that gave the impression of an Irish bar. Looking further at the name of the place, I decided to spend my lunch hour there.

The place is Keegan’s Grill and Taproom. Please read on if this experience can be enjoyed by anyone in Phoenix.

I was greeted pleasantly at the door and I was able to get a nice booth for my lunch. I was presented with the menu. Emblazoned on it was “There is no sincerer love than the love of food.” I was sort of surprised to see it on the menu, but it was a clever thing to do.

The wait staff gave the impression that they like what they do, however, I wanted to eat something that was a popular seller. I couldn’t get that out of my server but I was able to get their special: Grilled Chicken Club sandwich. Grilled Chicken, tomato, lettuce, bacon, cheese, and mayo. Sounded good to me, however, mayo and I do not get along too well, so I got ranch instead.

The food was served fast. I think I waited about 10 minutes before my food arrived. The sandwich was served on a ciabatta roll, the tomatoes were perfectly ripe, the lettuce was crisp, the cheese was melted perfectly, and the bacon was crisp. The only drawback to this was the chicken breast was under-seasoned. That was not going to stop me from savoring it though. It also came with a side of seasoned fries. I am not sure if they were fresh cut or not, but they were perfectly crisp and not too oily.

In the end, I was very content with what Keegan’s had to offer. While I could not pore over the alcohol list, perhaps next time I visit I will be give a review that includes what their taproom has to offer. The place is quite affordable, does give a nice Irish bar feel, and I will be returning soon. I hope that you get an experience as pleasant as mine.
