First of all, a big Thank You to whoever nominated us. It’s very flattering and we’re thrilled beyond words. We are ecstatic to be participating and be in the company of food blogging greats. It’s absolutely insane and so incredibly wonderful!

So what’s this contest about? Bloggers submit their chocolate-themed post and the winner will be selected by highly esteemed judges from the top 10 vote-getters. Voting begins on February 4 and ends February 8, and judging commences thereafter.

We entered our Peppermint Hot Chocolate with Handcrafted Chocolate Marshmallow post for the contest. It’s chocolate-y all the way and bring you to heaven and back in one sip.

The Culinate Death by Chocolate Contest sends one reader, and one food blogger, on a trip for two to Napa Valley to attend the Copia Center’s annual Death by Chocolate Festival on Feburary 23, 2008, featuring a day of chocolate and wine tasting, demonstrations by pastry chefs, and other sessions with chocolate aficionados and experts.

The contest will include daily drawings for cookbooks, additional festival tickets, and Valentine chocolates.

You can register now and vote next week. We could all use a trip to Napa for FOOD, WINE, and CHOCOLATE, yes?
