[...] Behold! The official Bittersweet Chocolate Pudding Pie with Creme Fraiche Topping creation! I decided that on the second go-around, I would make the recipe word for word…well, kinda…we don’t have the rum to toss in, so I used extra vanilla extract. Then I also forgot about the extra cocoa at the bottom of the dish. I was offered to use the Valrhona Hazelnut chocolate for it. It was a 3.7 oz bar, so I used our new digital scale to weigh out the exact 2 oz it needs so we don’t use too much of the $5 chocolate bar. If you have not been here before, we made some significant differences in the recipe.
Wow, this looks fantastic. Love the sound of a pudding style pie and anything with chocolate really. I've never attempted that before, must give it a go one day :)

Ryley - If you ever get around to making the pie, you will not be disappointed. Did you get any cake on your birthday?

Tipid - You're welcome. I hope you get the same results! Let me know!

Pat - Thanks for the great review! Joy drools just thinking about the pie in the fridge :) This was a definite winner.

Theresa - When you are checking your local specialty store for this stuff, look for it in the dairy section, next to the other creams. That was where we found ours. I was actually tempted to make this with real milk chocolate for this but I think it would make it too sweet. Something to try for next time, though! Also, the more links the better! Thanks for reading!

Hmm I always have trouble finding creme fraiche. Perhaps I have to go to a specialty store instead of my usual supermarket. This recipe looks absolutely yummy. I find milk chocolate much too sweet ;) -T (P.S. I added a link to this site from my blog. Hope you don't mind)
