Leisa - Thank you so much, that means a lot. :) That's wonderful that she's discovered photography and loves it, and so lucky of her to have you! Best of luck to her journey in learning.

I really look forward to reading your blog. I particularly look forward to your photographs. My twelve year old daughter has developed a love for photography and find your blog pure inspiration as I try to help her develop that eye for interesting subjects.

GeekMom -- We watch that show, too and love it when he goes to the local markets and try stuff. Hehe.

Arnold -- Thanks. How much are flowers there?

Rachel -- Thank you. :) Did you plant bulbs?

Metroknow -- Aw, cool! I carry a point and shoot, but when we went to Seattle, I just lugged around the big D70 because I could never get shots equivalent to it with the P&S (altho, it is 3 years old!).

Elle -- Thanks! You should! I think you'll be tickled pink as I was. :)

Seattle is my hometown, so I've really loved seeing your travels there.

I had one question - do you carry a smaller point and shoot with you, or do you just use your "bigger" camera everywhere? I carry my D70 with me most places, but I've really been thinking about getting a smaller point and shoot for convenience. Any thoughts or suggestions?

You have just touched on an often overlooked aspect of blogging, you have just managed to share your memories with many other folk. Thanks for this, the pictures are great as usual. I wish flowers were this cheap here in my part of the world.

I love those beautiful flowers! And the garlic! mmmmm. I wish we had a nice fresh market like that around here. One of my favorite parts of watching Andrew Zimmern's food/travel show is when he hits the local markets. I can imagine, like you said, sensory overload!
