I used to hate Mondays like the plague. I had anxiety attack-like symptoms that petrify me during Sundays that I don’t even get to enjoy that day. I know several people who dread Mondays and just know it’s going to be another ‘case of the Mondays’. Wow, way too many M-words. I’m happy to say that I’ve freed myself from that crutch.
My strategy the past few years? Schedule fun things that I like for Mondays, so I’ll have good things to look forward to, Like this:

This afternoon I’m going to get a few of these incredibly delicious donuts to bring for Dan. This is my absolute favorite donut in the whole world, and that says a lot because I’ve eaten hundreds of them. [Scary.] If you’re ever in Vancouver — as if I haven’t given you enough reasons to go — don’t forget to visit Granville Island. I’m also seeing a good friend later to talk about exciting things (haha).
How do you beat your Case of the Mondays?

1I used to feel that way too. I changed jobs and now I (usually) don’t get those Monday anxiety feelings anymore. And if on a certain week I do feel anxiety creeping in on a Sunday, it is much less than before…I will barely notice it.
But I think your fun things for Monday idea is really great! Even if my Mondays are fine now, a donut can only make it better. :)

2The job factor definitely has something to do with it, for sure. Yeah, donuts for sanity. :p

3I totally hear ya on the Monday thing. It definitely ruins my Sunday! It was the worst after a winter break at school when I’d be off for a month and then go back to school on Monday. All day Sunday I’d be SO anxious. I’m still like that for work. Good idea with the doughnuts.

4Hillary — hahaha…yeah…isn’t that funny. We only have 2 days of break and one is ruined by worrying about the coming day. It’s harder for me at the winter, because it’s SOOO nice to sleep in. lol.
